Obituary for Michael H. Crosby

CUSHING - Michael H. Crosby, 72, was called home on Thursday night, April 11th, 2019.

Michael was born November 1, 1946 in New York, New York to Michael E. Crosby and Blanche (Rauch) Landman. He graduated High School in 1964 and enlisted in The United States Navy where he served from September 1, 1964 to October 27, 1967. He was a Vietnam Veteran and the recipient of three bronze stars. In 1994 he married the late Ruth H. Lawson, where they lived in San Jose, CA. Michael worked as a software engineer until he retired and moved back to his hometown of Rockland, ME. During his free time Michael enjoyed fishing and photography.

Michael was also a member of the Rockland Lodge of Elks No. 1008, and a great friend to many.

Michael is survived by his niece Kristine Landman-Lewis and her husband Mike Lewis of Florence, AZ; his nephew Michael Landman and his wife Julie of Sahuarita, AZ; his four great nephews, Nicholas and his wife Lena of Tucson, AZ, Christopher, Matthew, and Michael; his three great nieces Lauren, Jackie, and Maddie; his great-great niece Lilly, his great-great nephew Avery; his step-son Richard Hewitt; his granddaughter Kayleigh Hewitt, and many other wonderful friends.

Michael was a great man who touched many lives and will be truly missed.

A service to be held at Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
