Obituary for Diane Irene Daniello

THOMASTON – Diane Daniello, 73, passed away December 27, 2018 at her home.

Born in Rockland, May 20, 1945, she was the daughter of Carl and Ilma Johnson Sewell. She attended local schools.

In earlier years, Diane worked at F. J. O’Hara & Son and Port Clyde Packing. For more than 50 years she worked as a CNA, starting at Hammond Hill Nursing Home in Worcester, MA in the mid 70’s. She then worked at Shore Village Nursing Home in Rockland, Fieldcrest Manor in Waldoboro and Lucette Boarding Home in Thomaston. She had a close relationship with her sister, Joan, and helped care for her during her final years.

She loved playing cards and BINGO and watching old western shows on TV. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, riding in the car, country music and dancing as well as shopping, crochet work and making porcelain dolls.

Diane was predeceased by her first husband, Donald Robbins; her second husband, Mont T. Daniello, Jr.; infant son John Wayne Christopher Robbins; son, Herbert D. Robbins and sister, Joan M. Daniello. She is survived by her son, Patrick W. Robbins and his wife Lisa of Livermore; daughters, Barbara A. Seiders and her husband Jayson of Thomaston, Crystal Simmons of Livermore; brother, Clyde ‘Sonny’ Sewell of Rockland; sisters, Gloria Wiley of Rockland, Lucille Heal and her husband Robert of South Thomaston; and eight grandchildren, Naomi, Michael, Charity, Jayson Jr., Tina, William, Jennifer, and Christopher, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Private burial in Achorn Cemetery will be in the spring.
